The border is crossed at Palanca — the fastest checkpoint between Moldova and the Ukrainian coast. Clearance usually takes 20–40 minutes, longer on holidays. Your driver monitors queues online and switches to a neighbouring crossing when it saves time. A valid passport is all you need; children travel with a birth certificate or passport.

What documents do I need for the Odesa to Chisinau trip?
A valid passport for every passenger, children included. Moldovan and Ukrainian citizens need no visa; other nationalities should check Ukraine's entry rules. A child travelling with one parent needs a birth certificate and, where required, the other parent's notarised consent. Your driver assists at the checkpoint.
How long does the border crossing take on this route?
We cross at Palanca. Control usually takes 30–60 minutes; on weekends, holidays and at peak hours it can reach 1.5–2 hours. Your driver checks the border situation before departure and picks the best time and checkpoint — waiting time is already included in the fixed price.
